KICK STARTING CAREES IN MUSIC.
MySchoolAct is an online talent competition created exclusively for Australian high school students who live for their music.
Our winning Act will score the ultimate career kick-start, picking up a $65,000 recording/publishing deal, including $15,000 cash, commercial album release and music video from the team at Sony Music Australia plus a $10,000 promo package from MySpace to kick-start your fame.
Plus, this year, our runners up will take home a $15,000 studio recording package at Studios 301, plus an artwork package for your EP valued at $2000 thanks to Qantm College.
We welcome music, and musical performances, from every genre, so whether you’ve got a rock band, a hip hop crew, classical ensemble, 20-piece jazz group or you go it alone, we want to hear (and see) what you do no matter whether it's a cover of your favourite song or a fresh new original.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
If you're a band or soloist, just sign your self up to MySchoolAct, upload your video or MP3 and start spreading the word far and wide to build your fanbase.
MySchoolAct will score each entry on a combination of factors: the size of your fanbase and the level of interaction on your profile page (i.e. plays of your entry and geniune profile comments).
At the end of STAGE ONE of the competition, MSA will select 10 Finalists: 5 Finalists with the highest point score and 5 Wildcards (Acts who didn't get the points but had something special about their entry).
These 10 Finalists will then progress to STAGE TWO, a two week stage for the Top 10 to battle it out for maximum votes to secure their spot in the Final Five Workshop and Grand Final Performance experience.

MySchoolAct isn’t just about the performers. No one makes it in the music industry on their own and we’re all about collaboration and celebrating the crew behind the scenes that make it happen.
So, to reward the best video director/producer, audio producer and digital designer/producer involved in a MySchoolAct entry, we’re also giving away three full SAE Institute or Qantm College Bachelor scholarships worth $20,000 each.
To go in the running for one of these amazing scholarships just get involved with supporting a MySchoolAct entry by either producing a Music Video, producing a music track or being the mind behind some great artwork. Then apply for your chosen SAE or Qantm scholarship.
